Meet David Lyson, Keystone's Founder
David Lyson started his career in the printing industry in 1969. From the very beginning, it appealed to his innate aptitude for working creatively with his hands—the same ability that makes him a talented metal- and woodworker. When he opened the doors at Keystone Quality Printing in 1988, on the eve of a new era of digital technology, he chose to build his business around his zeal for craftsmanship by choosing to focus on traditional offset printing. Right away, new customers became loyal clients when they recognized the hand-finished quality that David and his team are still passionate about delivering.
Even so, the Hallmark of a creative entrepreneur is an innovative and flexible mindset that adapts to constantly evolving technology, and Keystone embraced the challenge of adding digital technology to their shop in order to successfully expand the business in the early '90's. As a small print shop, finding new ways to solve old problems has always been one of the primary competitive advantages Keystone offers their clients—whether it requires new technology or old-fashioned bravado. David loves to find a way to turn a challenge into a victory story.
It means something when a client can go home and relax because they know we're going to do it right.
Family and relationship are at the core of David's approach to everything, from building and mentoring a great team in the shop, to taking ownership of a client's project, to cherishing the time he spends with his wife Jeni and their children and grandchildren. "It means something to me," David says, "that when a client drops off a critical project at Keystone, they can go home and relax with their own family, because they know our team is going to make sure it's done right, on time, every time."
Our clients are some of the most loyal customers in the industry. Give us a call and ask for a portfolio!
